Equitherapy isn’t only remedial — typically-developing learners get a real school-readiness boost too (motor skills, focus, following instructions, confidence), which is why it works well as a whole-grade programme rather than a support measure for a handful of referred learners.

Most schools set this up as a school programme — one agreement, one invoice, and a therapeutic offering the whole school can point to. A lighter, individual option is also available for families who'd rather start there.
Your school signs a single agreement with the Horse Worx franchisee covering enrolled learners, billed as one predictable monthly amount. It's the simplest way to run equitherapy as a genuine part of what your school offers — not a side arrangement a handful of parents chase up individually. And because the developmental benefits reach typically-developing learners as well as those with additional needs, it's easy to justify opening it up to a whole class or grade.
Prefer to start smaller, or is this just for one or two learners for now? A parent or guardian can sign directly with the Horse Worx franchisee instead, with billing handled between the family and the centre. Many schools begin here and move to a school programme once more learners are referred.
Since April 2022, early childhood development falls under the Department of Basic Education, and Grade R is now compulsory. The national focus is quality, inclusive, play-based early learning, and Horse Worx brings that to your school grounds.

Your School Governing Body can budget for it, like other enrichment or learning-support programmes. Fee-paying schools often add it to fees or offer it as an optional extra.
Registered ECD programmes can receive the ECD subsidy, raised to R24 per child per day in 2025. Ask your provincial ECD office how much may be used for learning programmes.
For learners identified through the SIAS process, your School-Based Support Team can motivate additional support with the district.
